Welcome to the Spencer Lab! Please explore our website to meet our lab group and learn about our research. The Spencer lab studies all aspects of muscle including pathways responsible for muscle health and seeks to understand processes involved in diseases such as Duchenne muscular dystrophy and limb girdle muscular dystrophy. The lab uses a variety of approaches to answer questions and develop new treatments, including CRISPR gene editing and gene replacement therapies.
